Would you like training for your dog whilst on holiday or busy at work?  Our residential dog training packages can help.

Residential dog training is a good option for you to take if you want your dog to continue with their training whilst you are away. Or perhaps you don’t have as much time as you would like to train your dog, and would benefit from the additional help of a dog trainer to develop your dog’s obedience or improve their behaviour?

Residential training can take place during boarding or day care, and can cover any aspects of training your dog requires, such as basic commands like sit, down and stay, or walking on a loose lead.

A report will be produced to explain what exercises were carried out with your dog and what they achieved during each session. The report will also explain how you can continue training your dog at home, as in order for the training to be effective, it will need to be implemented as part of your dog’s daily routine.

If it is just socialisation your dog requires, you may be advised that daily boarding would be beneficial.  Between 8:00am and 5:30pm your dog will encounter different sights, sounds and activities in the play centre and kennel environment.  Dogs are sociable animals and some issues with obedience and behaviour can be attributed to a lack of socialisation. We have a number of daily boarding customers who use this service for socialisation with other suitable dogs in the play centre, and it has a beneficial effect when used alongside training.

Dog Training Behaviour Package

This package is aimed at dogs who are displaying aggressive behaviour towards dogs/ people.  We recommend a 3 week minimum stay so we can begin to improve your dogs' behaviour for long term training.  Depending on the level of aggression it can take months, even years to turn a dog around but sadly some dogs will never be truly fixed.  Modifying your dogs' behaviour isn't straight forward its more about showing you how to control your dog, handle and manage their behaviour safely.

Follow up sessions are vital with this package.  We will need to book at least one monthly one to one training session for us to help, progress and guide you on a regular basis.  It's very important you understand how much time and effort as the owner you will need to put in after your dog leaves our care.

Below is a list of some behaviours we can help assist with

  • Lunging
  • Barking
  • Biting
