We understand it can be a concern leaving your pets in someone else’s care for the first time. Pets who come from a safe and secure family home require the same care when being left with someone new. We work hard every day to ensure your pets have the best care and attention here at our family run business.

We’ve been caring for the regions since we opened in November 1992. Over the years we have cared for thousands of different dogs, cats, and small animals. Just like us, they have different personalities and individual needs. Through our experience, we have gained the knowledge in giving the very best of care to pets young and old. Pet Care is our passion

All our fantastic team of pet care professionals have a great love of animals and an affinity for their wellbeing. They hold qualifications in animal management from foundation diploma through to degree level qualifications. We also help those looking to enter a career working with animals. Passing on our knowledge in our apprenticeship program which has been running for over 20 years. And by providing work placements to Schools, Colleges and Veterinary 1st years students.

We always aim to provide the greatest level of care. The whole team here will strive to ensure your pets have a healthy and stress-free holiday whilst with us. And this leads to happy pets on your return.

Accommodation & Facilities

Our accommodation and facilities are designed so your pet can have the most comfortable experience away from home. We are the largest pet care resort in the region giving all the space your furry family member needs. Be it relaxing in our luxury Hillside accommodation for our canine guests or sunbathing in our POD’s for our feline guests. To running free on our large grassed paddock, agility park and play centre. Our Pet Care Resort is the perfect getaway for adventurous pets. We also offer dog grooming in our dog grooming salon. Expert tuition for your dog at our dog training centre. And a great range of pet food, toys and accessories in our pet store.

Why we started…

We first opened our doors to Swanland and the local area in November 1992. Our family wanted to continue in the dedicated care of animals. We wanted to provide a better service than was available to our dogs Sherry and Wanda. Tony and Mandy invested a great deal of time and energy creating large and comfortable accommodation for dogs. Accommodation for cats and a small reception area. Our first guest all those years ago was a Golden Retriever called Branston.

How we got started

For many years, our family have been involved with the care of animals. We wanted to continue this, and from 1992 we’ve steadily been adding complimentary pet care services. Starting with 10 kennels, 8 chalets for cats and a small reception area, we have reinvested yearly and grown to include, dog grooming, pet supplies and dog training.

Our future

We want to continually provide the best facilities and care here at our Pet Care Resort. Future plans are to update our play centre with a unique beach theme featuring sand and water, renovation of our Fieldside kennels and additional activity areas for dogs. We are also looking to expand our cat accommodation to feature outdoor space with hammocks and dried sapling trees for climbing, and an indoor lounge area.
