Can I have a look around?
A: Yes of Course, we recommend all customers to come and see our facilities. We offer show arounds between 10am and 3pm Monday – Saturday or 10am-12pm on a Sunday. No appointment necessary
What should I bring with me for my pets stay?
A: Dogs must be brought in on a secure harness/collar with lead and cats/ small animals in a secure pet carrier.
We provide beds and bedding but are happy for you to bring a t-shirt or something similar with your scent on If you feel it will provide comfort for your pet.
Your vaccination card with UpToDate vaccinations or a letter of exemption from the vet if necessary. We will always do our best to get your belongings back to you but please note any possessions are left at your own risk and if not collected within 2 weeks will be disposed of.
Is food included? Will there be a discount if I provide my own?
A: We have a Standard Menu available to all overnight guests to choose from as well as a Premium Menu available available at an additional cost to Standard bookings or included with both Hillside and Lodge bookings. We can also offer Raw food at an additional charge to all bookings.
Any prescription diet/ breed specific/ supermarket own branded/ home cooked, or internet bought food must be brought by yourself.
We DO NOT offer discount on boarding if you provide your own food but as always welcome you to bring your own should you wish to.
Does my dog need the kennel cough vaccination?
A: Yes, all dogs that are boarding with us must have an Up To Date kennel cough vaccination or a letter of exemption due to health reasons. Although the vaccination does not prevent your dog from contracting kennel cough the severity of symptoms will be less severe. Don’t let the name deceive you, Kennel cough (KC) is an airborne virus which your dog can pick up anywhere that other dogs have been. Please note this is a live vaccine and must be administered at least 2 weeks before your stays with us.
Is exercise included during my dogs stay?
A: Absolutely. All dogs are walked twice a day, morning and afternoon in our secure paddock.
We also have a wide range of additional activities you can add on such as group play sessions, agility and extra walks.
What happens if my pet needs vet treatment?
A: If your pet needs vet treatment we will call you or your emergency contact and we will always try our best to take your pet to your registered veterinary practice, if this is not possible we will go to our local vets. Any treatment will be covered under our insurance unless it is a pre-existing condition.
We recommend calling your vets prior to your drop off to authorise permission to speak to us regarding your pet’s medical history on the off chance a medical incident may occur and treatment is required.
Can you administer my pet’s medication?
A: We will administer medication for your pet such as tablet’s, eye/ear drops, insulin etc. Upon check in we will fill out a detailed medication sheet and follow as required. Please provide enough medication for duration of stay and extra for emergencies such as delay in return. The first medication is included however multiple medications may incur an extra charge.
Out of hours medication can be arranged prior to your arrival at an additional charge. This is only if medication is required before 7am and after 6pm.
What if I am delayed and can’t collect my pet?
A: Of course, we will always do our very best to extend your pets stay should a delay incur however we always recommend a backup plan for collection such as a family member or friend collecting on your behalf.
What are the drop off and collection times?
A: For pet boarding check in Monday to Saturday between 8am-4pm or Sundays between 8am-12pm.
Collection before 12pm no extra charge. If collecting after 12pm an additional charge will be added. Please note on a Sunday the reception closes at 1pm for all arrivals and departures.
Daycare runs Monday –Friday 8am – 5:30pm or Saturdays 8am – 5pm. An early check in can be added from 7am for an additional cost and a late check out up to 6pm (late check out is not available on Saturdays) Daycare not available on Sundays.
Are you open on bank holidays and over Christmas?
A: Caring for your pets is a fulltime job so we are open 365 days for your fury friends. Bank holiday times are 8am-4pm. Although we are operating on Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years day and Easter Sunday we do not offer drop off and collection on these days. Please note a £12.50 Surcharge per bank holiday is added per accommodation.
When and How do I pay?
A: For all boarding reservations we require a deposit which is one nights stay or 20% of the bill which ever is the greater, this is paid via telephone, a link sent to your phone/email or in person upon booking. This is non-refundable or transferable if cancelled less than 4 weeks prior to the reservation.
The remaining balance is then paid when you check in your pet.
Do you have transport if I can’t get to you?
A: Yes we have a Pet Taxi which can be used for overnight boarding and grooming. This runs 9am- 3pm and costs £15 up to 4 miles then £2.00 per mile thereafter.
